Prière du matin des startsis d'Optina

Seigneur accorde-moi de recevoir dans la tranquillité du coeur tout ce que m'apportera cette journée qui commence. Accorde-moi de me livrer entièrement à Ta sainte volonté. A chaque instant de ce jour, instruis-moi en tout et soutiens-moi. Quelles que soient les nouvelles que je reçoive dans le courant de cette journée, apprends-moi à les recevoir avec un coeur paisible, et la ferme conviction qu'elles sont l'expression de Ta sainte volonté. Sois le guide de mes pensées et de mes sentiments dans toutes mes actions et dans toutes mes paroles. Dans toutes circonstances imprévisibles, aide-moi à ne pas oublier que tout m'est envoyé de Toi. Apprends-moi à me comporter d'une manière juste et raisonnable avec chaque membre de ma famille (de mon entourage), sans troubler ni peiner personne.
Seigneur, donne-moi la force de résister à toute fatigue, et à tous les évènements durant cette journée. Guide ma volonté et apprends-moi à prier, à espérer, à croire, à aimer, à supporter et à pardonner. Amen.

ΚΥΡΙΕ, βοήθησε με να αντιμετωπίσω με ψυχική γαλήνη όλα όσα θα μου φέρει η σημερινή ήμερα.
Βοήθησέ με να παραδοθώ ολοκληρωτικά στο άγιο θέλημα Σου.
Στην κάθε ώρα αυτής της ημέρας φώτιζε με και δυνάμωνε με για το κάθε τι.
Όποιες ειδήσεις κι αν λάβω στο διάστημα της σημερινής ημέρας,
δίδαξε με να τις δεχθώ με ηρεμία και με την πεποίθησι ότι προέρχονται από το άγιο θέλημα Σου.
Καθοδήγησε τις σκέψεις και τα συναισθήματα μου σε όλα τα έργα μου και τα λόγια μου.
Σ' όλες τις απρόοπτες περιστάσεις μη με αφήσεις να ξεχάσω, ότι τα πάντα προέρχονται από Σένα.
Δίδαξε με να συμπεριφέρομαι σε κάθε μέλος της οικογενείας μου με ευθύτητα και σύνεση,
ώστε να μην συγχύσω και στενοχωρήσω κανένα.
ΚΥΡΙΕ, δος μου την δύναμη να υποφέρω τον κόπο και όλα τα γεγονότα της ημέρας αυτής καθ' όλη την διάρκεια της.
Καθοδήγησε την θέλησή μου και δίδαξε με να προσεύχομαι, να πιστεύω, να υπομένω, να συγχωρώ και να αγαπώ.

Grant to me, my Lord, that with peace of mind I may face all that this new day is to bring.
Grant me grace to surrender myself completely to Your holy will. For every hour of this day instruct and prepare me in all things.
Whatsoever tidings I may receive during the day, do You teach me to accept tranquilly, in the firm conviction that all eventualities fulfill Your holy will.
Govern my thoughts and feelings in all I do and say. When things unforeseen occur, let me not forget that all comes down from You.
Teach me to behave sincerely and reasonably toward every member of my family, that I may bring confusion and sorrow to none.
Bestow on me, my Lord, strength to endure the fatigue of the day and to bear my part in all its passing events.
Guide my will and teach me to pray, to believe, to hope, to suffer, to forgive and to love. Amen
